I am pleased to introduce and recommend to you Marsha King.  She is a
committed Christian with quite a story to tell in word and song.

Marsha’s personal life has been filled with much struggle and tragedy.  She
has faced life-threatening illness, the death of a young son, and the loss of
another son to drugs and prison.  Coping with such distress Marsha found
hope in God that not only sustained her but gave her great joy and hope for
the future.  She has told her story in a book,
Peace in the Midst of the Storm.

Marsha is a woman with remarkable musical talent.  A recording artist with
several CDs of Christian music to her credit, she has a rich, versatile voice
that equals any Christian singer in the country.

I came to know Marsha as a colleague when I served a few months as Interim
Director of a Christian counseling center in Wilmington where she is on the
staff.  My own professional life is that of a pastor, military chaplain, pastoral
counselor, and for several years director of a good-sized counseling center.
During my time with Marsha I was introduced to her writing, her recordings,
and her concert performance skills.

Marsha is not a typical performer seeking to make a name for herself.  She is
an authentic Christian with a genuine message of faith and hope for
struggling people.  If you decide to invite her to sing for your organization,
everyone will be blessed.

"It is comforting to know that regardless of a person’s
circumstances, our loving God is not unreachable.

You will be encouraged by biblical teaching,
testimonies, inspirational stories and wonderful,
uplifting songs.  After experiencing Marsha’s ministry
for yourself, you will definitely want to bring this event
to your friends.”

"Marsha's music is soothing as it plays to and draws out a specific set
of emotions related to surrendering and  releasing the "worry side" of
personal dilemma. Her message consistently points to a relationship
with Christ, the only real answer. If people in relational and emotional
distress find their way to Marsha's works, they will be well served.

To Whom It May Concern:

We were pleased to partner with Marsha King Ministries (MKM) in September of
2011.  MKM combines a distinctively Christ-centered program with highly
relational team members and outstanding presentation skills. Each aspect of their
program is intentionally designed to lead the audience to put their faith and trust
in Jesus Christ.

Straight Ahead Ministries exists to see Jesus Christ transform the lives of juvenile
offenders. Much of our ministry is done in juvenile lock-up facilities. The young
people we work with prove to be a tough audience and are highly suspect of new
people. Consequently, breaking down trust barriers is essential in order to be
effective ministers to this population of youth.

MKM is highly skilled in building bridges of trust. Their unique program combining
puppetry, drama, special music, story telling, slight of hand tricks, and
one-on-one interaction, won the respect and favor of the most violent juvenile
offenders in the state, many of whom placed their faith and trust in Jesus Christ
for the forgiveness of their sins.

I cannot recommend Marsha King Ministries more highly and I look forward with
sincere anticipation to the next time Straight Ahead gets to partner with them.

To:  UMC Western North Carolina Conference Pastors

Dear Pastor Friends:

First UMC Hickory recently hosted a concert on a Sunday evening by
Marsha King. She presents a beautiful program of singing and the sharing
of her Christian testimony. Our people thoroughly enjoyed and were
definitely inspired by Ms. King and her presentation. She is a delightful
person and a woman of deep, attractive faith.

I wanted to share this information with you because we pastors are often
seeking inspirational programming to further the Christian journey of our
members and to also reach out into our communities with the message of
Christ’s love. Marsha King does this extremely well, and I commend her to
you without reservation.

In Christ,
Rev. "Bob" Roach
